Tell me a story.
Current fandoms are Dr Who, The Newsroom, Atlantis, The Hour, The Crimson Field (I will NEVER give up hope on either of these) and other assorted bits, bobs and treasures.
Probably too many OTP's but I like a happy ending!
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Not to brag or anything but I’m Italian and I live in Rome and today they performed Julius Caesar on the literal ruins of the Curia of Pompey. aka the exact place where Caesar got absolutely wrecked in 44 BCE. on the anniversary of him getting absolutely wrecked 💅
🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 (that’s 23 knives. historically accurate.)
(If you are interested in seeing more scenes from the performance, I have posted another video!)
Brilliant! That is very cheeky!
Sorry (not sorry), but this Alexander chap looks like Rupert from Christian Brighty’s regency sketches. I do not know if this is a good thing, but go on Tiktok or YouTube (or the BBC Sounds app for the podcast thing he did) and look for his stuff, he’s brilliant and very, very funny!

Raise your wands please.
So, I just finished watching Season 17 of Murdoch Mysteries and WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K just happened!?!
Who thought that was a good idea!?!
I thought I was getting a bunch of nostalgia, what with Julia doing morgue duties for a bit, but no! They had to throw an emotional hand grenade in there!?!
What on earth is going to happen in season 18!?!
i just. you’re a child and you’re listening to music and you fall asleep, only to find your father dead in the living room the next morning. you’re older and you’re high and cold and you go to sleep only to wake with fire beneath you and with your wife and children dead and your world changed. you’re older and you’ve tried to put the pieces of your life back together as best you can but you go to sleep and wake again to find everything in flames, your wife unconscious as your house burns around you and - how many times can you keep surviving this? how many times can someone be expected to live through closing their eyes and waking up to find their world destroyed before them with the absolute conviction that they are all to blame for it, every single time? like. of course his heart gave out.
So, I’m about two thirds of the way through season 5 of my first of Supernatural and already I think this sounds like either a John Winchester flashback, or a Dean alternate life episode.
Damn. He was a brilliant actor, much admired and I’m certain he’ll be much missed as well.
Nobody can tell me that the idea of a Muppet Princess Bride isn’t perfect!
I love playing “guess the year” with Murdoch Mysteries! This episode (17x03. I’m catching up, slowly, but surely), we get some choice clues that make it a bit easier, but still fun!
Murdoch and Julia are talking about the theft of the Mona Lisa (or La Gioconda if, like Inspector Brackenreid, you’re cultured 😁), which happened a fortnight before the episode take place. This puts the episode in 1911, so yay for that, but we want to know more. A quick Google search reminds us that it was stolen on 21 August 1911 (I thought it earlier, around Easter), which means that the episode starts at around 4th September 1911!
It hasn’t been that easy since the time everyone thought Crabtree was dead and they showed the death certificate!
@princessanneftw my mam found this (she loves the song and thought I’d like the video), and I wondered if you’d seen it? It’s very sweet, they really are a lovely couple, aren’t they!?!
